ON : writing

Each of us has a few areas of thought that dominate our minds: we converse passionately with friends and strangers about them; we pore over articles and absorb documentaries related to these subjects; we wrestle in the recesses of our minds about their intricacy or vastness.

And so I do not arbitrarily choose topics to write about. Rather, I simply record portions of my internal conversations and wonderment when they strike. When they do, the themes usually glowing throughout are introspection and perspective. Everything we perceive, experience, and understand is a reflection of how we see inwardly and outwardly.

I am fascinated with and enamored by thought, and am humbled by the gift to express ideas that connect with others. Entertaining and transcribing these thought exercises allows me to deepen self-awareness, self-understanding, and perspective. I share these works believing they can impart similar outcomes for others.
